This project involves the intelligent weighing system upgrade for municipal infrastructure projects undertaken by Fujian Zhongli Construction Group. The Group specializes in municipal road construction, building construction, earthwork, and supporting infrastructure projects, and undertakes various public infrastructure projects within the province. Construction sites see daily traffic of dump trucks and construction material transport vehicles carrying materials such as sand, gravel, cement, soil, and building materials; traffic flow is frequent and operating hours are irregular. The traditional manual weigh station model incurs high labor costs, poses significant challenges for nighttime monitoring, and is prone to errors and omissions in manual record-keeping, resulting in management loopholes. With dust swirling and muddy, wet road conditions at the construction site, standard truck scales lack durability and are prone to data drift, failing to meet the construction group’s requirements for standardized and precise material control. To optimize the on-site weighing process and improve material record-keeping, the company selected Fujian Fangda Weighing Instruments to implement an unmanned intelligent weighing system.

Taking into account the operational characteristics of municipal construction sites and site planning conditions, we have installed a 3×12-meter, 100-ton compact smart weighbridge. Its moderate size accommodates small and medium-sized construction material transport vehicles and dump trucks, while its compact footprint fits well within the limited space of construction sites. The scale body features a thickened U-beam monolithic welded structure, ensuring stability and sufficient rigidity to withstand repeated by construction vehicles, as well as impact resistance and resistance to deformation. To address site conditions such as dust, mud, and rain erosion, the scale body is treated with a heavy-duty anti-corrosion baked paint process. The surface is wear-resistant and stain-resistant, while the internal wiring is fully sealed to provide dust and water resistance, as well as resistance to aging and corrosion, making it suitable for all-weather outdoor construction environments. The system is equipped with a full suite of intelligent hardware, including license plate recognition, infrared alignment, smart barrier gates, and surveillance cameras with snapshot capture.

The entire unmanned system features a high degree of automation. Upon entry, the system automatically recognizes the vehicle’s license plate and, after confirming proper vehicle alignment via infrared sensors, automatically performs the weighing process. No manual intervention is required; drivers can complete weighing, data archiving, and receipt printing without leaving their vehicles, significantly improving traffic efficiency. The system is equipped with signal-jamming anti-tampering devices to prevent data manipulation. Combined with highly stable digital sensors resistant to construction site vibrations and dust interference, it ensures precise and consistent weighing data. All incoming and outgoing material data is stored in the cloud and captured for record-keeping, providing clear and traceable ledgers that meet engineering audit and material accounting standards.
