China Construction Fourth Engineering Bureau Completes Installation of a 3×16-Meter, 100-Ton Weighbridge

This project is a supporting weighing system for the infrastructure construction project of China Construction Fourth Engineering Division. As a major state-owned central enterprise in the construction industry, China Construction Fourth Engineering Division enforces strict controls over the quality of construction equipment, compliance with construction procedures, and adherence to safety inspection standards; all equipment entering the site must meet the project’s standardized and compliant management requirements. The construction site primarily handles civil engineering, road construction, and building material transportation, with semi-trailers and heavy-duty dump trucks frequently moving in and out of the site. The construction site is characterized by muddy and cluttered conditions, accumulated mud and slush, and high levels of dust. The impact from loading and unloading building materials is significant. Conventional truck scales have a flimsy structure, and prolonged exposure to heavy loads can lead to issues such as deformation of the scale body, data fluctuations, and water ingress, making them unable to meet the precise measurement and control requirements for sand, gravel, earthwork, and building materials in construction projects. To standardize material ledgers and ensure accurate accounting of construction materials, the company selected Fujian Fangda Weighing Instruments to provide and install a dedicated industrial scale for the construction site.

Taking into account the complex operating conditions of construction sites and the high standards required by central state-owned enterprises, we have equipped the project with a 3×16-meter, 100-ton specialized construction site weighbridge. The weighbridge frame features a thickened, U-shaped beam with an integrated welded structure and densely spaced main beams, providing high overall rigidity and excellent load-bearing capacity. It is designed to withstand frequent passage of heavy construction vehicles over the long term, offering impact resistance and minimal deformation. To address the construction site’s characteristics—such as muddy and waterlogged conditions, high dust levels, and severe wear on building materials—the scale body undergoes a heavy-duty sandblasting and rust removal process, followed by a heavy-duty anti-corrosion baked paint finish. The surface is wear- and scratch-resistant, while the interior is fully sealed to provide dustproof, waterproof, and mud-corrosion-resistant protection, making it suitable for the harsh, all-weather conditions of construction sites.

The equipment is equipped with industrial-grade, highly shock-resistant digital sensors that resist vibrations and electromagnetic interference on construction sites. Weighing remains stable with no data fluctuations during vehicle starts and stops, accurately recording the inbound and outbound data of construction materials such as sand, gravel, cement, and earth, ensuring clear, compliant, and traceable records of project material usage. We strictly adhere to China Construction’s construction standards for site surveys and construction, optimize site drainage and foundation plans, and standardize the completion of hoisting, wiring, and commissioning and calibration. The full set of qualification and acceptance documentation is complete, and the equipment has successfully passed the project department’s rigorous acceptance inspection.
