This project involves the installation of an intelligent weighing system for bridge infrastructure at Fengqiao Bridge Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China Railway Sixth Bureau Group. As a specialized road and bridge construction company under a major state-owned enterprise, the company has extensive experience in railway bridges, transportation infrastructure, and the production and installation of precast components, and has undertaken various national-level key transportation projects. The construction site primarily handles the transshipment of bridge components, rebar and steel materials, sand and gravel aggregates, and concrete raw materials. Heavy-duty freight vehicles travel frequently within the site, and the volume of material transport is substantial. The on-site working environment is complex, characterized by high levels of construction dust, muddy and waterlogged roads, a high concentration of construction machinery, and strong electromagnetic interference. Traditional manual weighing methods are inefficient, night-time staffing costs are high, and manual record-keeping is prone to errors and management loopholes. These methods fail to meet the stringent standards of state-owned enterprises for precise control of construction materials and transparent, traceable data. To optimize the building materials measurement process and eliminate human errors in weighing, the project department selected an upgraded unmanned intelligent weighing system provided by Fujian Fangda Weighing Instruments.

Designed to withstand the heavy-duty, harsh conditions of bridge construction sites, we have installed a 3×12-meter, 80-ton intelligent weighbridge specifically engineered for construction use. The weighbridge frame is constructed from thickened U-shaped beams welded into a single unit, featuring a dense arrangement of main beams that ensures exceptional structural rigidity. It is capable of withstanding the frequent passage of heavy construction material transport vehicles and the impact of loading and unloading operations over the long term, maintaining stable load-bearing capacity with minimal deformation. To address construction site dust, mud and water contamination, and variable outdoor weather conditions, the scale body is treated with heavy-duty sandblasting for rust removal and coated with a heavy-duty anti-corrosion baked paint. The surface is wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant, and the entire unit’s wiring is fully sealed to provide dust and water protection, making it suitable for all-weather construction operations. The equipment is equipped with high-definition license plate recognition, infrared alignment, smart barrier gates, and surveillance cameras, integrating a complete set of unmanned intelligent hardware.

The intelligent system enables automatic vehicle recognition and unmanned self-service weighing. Without manual intervention, drivers can complete weighing, data archiving, and automatic receipt printing without leaving their vehicles, significantly improving traffic efficiency. The system features a built-in anti-tampering shielding module to prevent external signals from altering data. Combined with industrial-grade anti-interference digital sensors, it effectively resists construction site machinery vibrations and electromagnetic interference, ensuring consistent and accurate weighing data. All data regarding incoming construction materials and outgoing waste is stored in the cloud, and video snapshots are retained, ensuring clear and traceable records that fully comply with the engineering audit and material accounting standards of central state-owned enterprises. We strictly adhere to the construction specifications of central state-owned enterprises, providing a one-stop service for surveying, foundation work, installation, and commissioning. The complete set of documentation was submitted and successfully passed the project department’s acceptance inspection.

Following the deployment of the equipment, the construction site achieved unmanned intelligent management, reducing labor costs and completely eliminating weighing discrepancies.
