This case study focuses on the smart upgrade and renovation project at the Jiangxi Comprehensive Logistics Park. The park integrates warehousing and transshipment, trunk transportation, and cargo distribution, with heavy traffic of freight vehicles operating around the clock. The traditional manual weighbridge operation model incurs high labor costs and involves a cumbersome weighing process. During peak hours, it leads to vehicle congestion and delays. Additionally, manual data entry is prone to errors and susceptible to human fraud, failing to meet the modern logistics industry’s demands for efficient, precise, and intelligent management. To streamline the weighing process, reduce operational costs, and enable intelligent data traceability, the park management partnered with Fujian Fangda Weighing Instruments to customize and install a complete unmanned intelligent weighbridge system.

Given the diverse range of vehicle types and high-frequency traffic conditions at the logistics park, we have installed a 3×12-meter, 80-ton intelligent industrial scale. The scale body features a thickened, one-piece welded U-beam structure that ensures even load distribution and structural stability, capable of withstanding frequent stop-and-go traffic from trucks without deformation over long-term use. To address the park’s open-air, dusty environment and fluctuating temperatures, the scale body is treated with a multi-layer anti-corrosion baked paint process. Internal wiring is fully sealed for dust and water resistance, ensuring durability against aging and corrosion, and enabling uninterrupted operation in all weather conditions. The complete system is equipped with a full suite of intelligent hardware, including high-definition license plate recognition, infrared positioning, smart barrier gates, voice announcements, and automatic printing.

The system is equipped with intelligent, unattended weighing management software. Vehicles require no manual registration; the system automatically recognizes license plates, detects vehicles entering the scale via infrared sensors, and intelligently determines the vehicle’s parking status. It fully automates weighing, recording, uploading, and printing, allowing drivers to pass through quickly without leaving their vehicles. Equipped with multi-layered anti-tampering technology, the system prevents violations such as remote control interference and data tampering. Weighing data is stored in real-time in the cloud, ensuring permanent traceability. Paired with highly interference-resistant digital sensors, the system delivers precise and stable data, unaffected by vehicle vibrations or environmental interference, ensuring fair and transparent commercial transactions. We provide a one-stop service covering site surveys, cabling, installation, system commissioning, and equipment calibration, seamlessly integrating with the park’s intelligent management platform.

Once the project is implemented, manual supervision will be completely eliminated, significantly reducing labor costs. The time required for each vehicle to complete the weighing process will be shortened, effectively resolving traffic congestion issues within the park.
