This case study details the weighing system upgrade project at the Zhangzhou Cement Plant. The plant routinely transports bulk materials such as sand, gravel, clinker, and fly ash. With heavy-duty transport vehicles moving in and out constantly, the worksite is filled with dust, and sand and gravel cause severe wear and tear; moreover, the dust from these materials is corrosive. The plant’s original, outdated truck scales had poor structural integrity. Under prolonged heavy-load traffic, they were prone to issues such as deformation of the scale body, dust accumulation and moisture penetration in the load cells, and data drift. These problems not only compromised the measurement accuracy of incoming raw materials and outgoing finished products but also caused frequent breakdowns and downtime, severely disrupting the plant’s production and transportation schedules. Consequently, the plant ultimately selected Fujian Fangda Weighing Instruments to upgrade and replace its industrial truck scales.

Taking into account the harsh operating conditions of the cement plant—characterized by high dust levels, heavy loads, and severe wear—we configured a 3×16-meter, 100-ton heavy-duty industrial scale for the client. The scale frame is constructed from thickened U-shaped beams welded into a single unit. The main beams feature high density and strong load-bearing rigidity, enabling them to withstand frequent碾压 and loading/unloading impacts from heavy trucks over the long term, with excellent resistance to deformation. To address the plant’s high dust levels and the corrosive nature of cement dust, the scale body employs a heavy-duty anti-corrosion sandblasting and baking paint process, resulting in a surface that is wear-resistant and stain-resistant. Combined with a fully sealed protective structure that prevents dust and moisture from entering the equipment, this significantly enhances the equipment’s durability.
The equipment utilizes industrial-grade, high-precision digital sensors featuring strong anti-interference, dust-proof, and shock-resistant properties.
